Lucknow: The body of a 9-year-old boy was exhumed on Friday in the Malipur area of Ambedkarnagar district following allegations of negligence against a private school administration. The child died under suspicious circumstances after reportedly falling ill during school hours earlier this week.The deceased, Ansh, a UKG student of Jai Narayan Saraswati Vidya Mandir in Malipur, was the only son of a visually impaired couple, Hiralal and Shashikala, residents of Ashanandpur Barauli village. According to the family, Ansh went to school on Tuesday when he suddenly fell ill around 10am and began vomiting. They alleged that the school neither informed them nor arranged timely medical treatment, leaving the child in distress for hours.
The family claimed that after school closed at 3pm, Ansh was sent home on the school bus and was dropped nearly 500mt from his house. On reaching home, his condition deteriorated, and he was taken to a local doctor. Though he was brought back after treatment, he died later in the evening. The family buried the body on the banks of the Manjusha river the same day.Following a complaint submitted by the mother to the SDM Jalalpur seeking action against school manager Suresh Agarwal, district magistrate Anupam Shukla ordered an inquiry. On Thursday morning, in the presence of naib tehsildar Amarnath and police officials, the body was exhumed and sent for post-mortem examination. A panel of two doctors conducted the autopsy under videography.Additional superintendent of police (east) Shyamdev confirmed that an FIR was registered against the school manager and that CCTV footage from the school was being examined. The school manager denied the allegations, stating that the child boarded the bus in a normal condition and that the administration acted responsibly. He claimed the institution was being targeted for political reasons.
