Varanasi: In a breakthrough, the Sonbhadra police busted an organised gang of human traffickers and arrested two women for allegedly selling a minor girl for Rs 1.2 lakh under the pretext of providing employment.Police arrested Bindu and Soni from Pawar village in Sonbhadra on Sunday, while probing a case registered at Robertsganj police station under relevant sections of BNS and Pocso Act.During interrogation, the accused disclosed that they lured a minor girl with the false promise of providing employment and transported her to Agra and Aligarh, where she was sold for Rs 1.2 lakh. The victim was reportedly forced to stay with various individuals, where she was subjected to forced physical exploitation, as a result of which she became pregnant.During the investigation, the involvement of other co-accused has also surfaced. The police team is making efforts to arrest them.
