Chandigarh: The city experienced a cool weekend on Sunday, with the maximum temperature settling at 30.5 degrees Celsius, 1.4 degrees below normal, while the minimum was recorded at 23.2 degrees Celsius, which is normal.The weather department said below normal temperature brought relief from the warmer conditions experienced earlier.The weather department has forecast a partly cloudy sky on Monday, with maximum temperature expected to remain around 29 degrees Celsius and the minimum around 24 degrees Celsius.Thereafter, temperature is expected to rise gradually. Maximum temperature is likely to reach 31 degrees Celsius on Sept 29, followed by 33 degrees Celsius on Sept 30 and 34 degrees Celsius on Oct 1 and 2. Minimum temperature is likely to remain between 24 degrees Celsius and 25 degrees Celsius during this period.According to the seven-day outlook, Chandigarh is expected to remain dry from Sept 29 onwards, with no weather warning issued for the city during the forecast period.With both maximum and minimum temperatures currently below normal, the city is likely to continue experiencing relatively comfortable weather on Monday before temperatures begin to rise gradually towards the end of the week.
