Rajkot: A police constable was booked at Okha Marine police station on Tuesday for allegedly raping and blackmailing a 32-year-old woman.The woman’s complaint states that she first met the accused, a resident of Okha working in the police department, in 2016. Their acquaintance developed into friendship and eventually, a romantic relationship. The woman alleged that during this period, he promised to marry her and established a physical relationship with her.The complaint further stated that the relationship continued but the accused reneged on the promise. When the woman attempted to end the relationship, he allegedly threatened her. The woman stated that the constable threatened to make photos and videos of her public, thereby coercing her into maintaining the physical relationship.The complainant alleged that from 2016 to 2025, the accused repeatedly had sexual relations with her against her will, under the false promise of marriage.
