Amritsar: Booth level officer (BLO) Satpal Singh of booth No. 101 under assembly constituency 20-Attari (SC) visited the residence of conjoined twins Sohna Singh and Mohna Singh on Saturday to distribute pre-filled enumeration forms as part of special intensive revision (SIR) of electoral rolls in Punjab.Though conjoined, the brothers are registered as separate eligible voters. During the visit, the BLO verified their identity details, including date of birth, family particulars, address and other mandatory information, before handing over the forms.The twins were born in 2003 at Lady Hardinge Medical College, Delhi, and were later referred to AIIMS. Abandoned by their parents, they were adopted by the All-India Pingalwara Charitable Society. Joined at the waist, they have two separate spinal cords, two hearts, two kidneys, one liver, four arms and two legs.District election officer-cum-deputy commissioner Dalwinderjit Singh said the visit reflects the Election Commission’s commitment to reaching every voter. He stressed that no citizen should be left out of the electoral roll due to any unique circumstance.
