Patna: The Bihar Congress is preparing to launch a statewide student agitation over recurring paper leaks, concerns about students’ futures and alleged mismanagement of the education system.A preparatory meeting was held at the state Congress headquarters in Patna on Tuesday, attended by functionaries of various party departments, leaders of its wings and members of the connect centre. Participants paid tribute to students who died by suicide following paper leak incidents and adopted a resolution seeking justice for students while launching a mass campaign against shortcomings in the education system.AICC Bihar in-charge Krishna Allavaru, National Students’ Union of India (NSUI) in-charge Kanhaiya Kumar and state Congress president Rajesh Ram outlined the proposed agitation strategy.“Allavaru said, “The frequent papers leaks have resulted in a bleak future facing the students, who see their hopes to excel by the dint of their merit being dashed. It is not just a case of administrative failure but akin to playing a crude joke with the future of students.”Rajesh urged party workers to prioritise issues affecting students and youths, while Kanhaiya stressed strengthening the NSUI network in colleges across the state.
