Mandya: DC Kumara has directed officials to conduct thorough house-to-house mapping to rectify discrepancies in the voter list.At a meeting held at the DC office, he said the exercise is part of the Election Commission of India’s special intensive revision to ensure the integrity and accuracy of voter rolls.

He emphasised that booth-level officers must physically visit every household to verify voter details and complete the mapping. He stressed the need for street- and house-wise verification to identify and correct errors, ensuring the final list reflects the eligible electorate. He said the systematic approach would help remove duplications, incorrect addresses and other technical lapses that affect the voting process.Sharing district statistics, Kumara said Mandya has 15,83,368 registered voters. Mapping has been completed for 12,92,681 individuals, while 2,90,687 are yet to be covered. He noted that the district has achieved 81.6% progress and urged officials to quickly close the remaining gap.
