Kanpur: Divisional commissioner Kanpur Vijeyendra Pandian on Friday conducted an inspection of main roads of the city and directed to complete the patch work in two days.He inspected major city roads, including routes from Ramadevi to IIT, Singhpur to Kalyanpur and Swaroop Nagar to Nawabganj, besides Mainawati Marg. He assessed road conditions, identified damaged sections and noted locations requiring patchwork.Divisional Commissioner directed PWD National Highway division Executive Engineer AK Jayant to complete road patchwork within two days on a war footing and make the roads motorable. He reprimanded Jayant and expressed strong displeasure over the lack of necessary repairs.He said that traffic should not be disrupted due to potholes and damaged sections on main roads.Divisional commissioner directed Municipal Corporation officials to immediately repair the city’s major roads. Officials were asked to inspect roads under Corporation jurisdiction and prioritise patchwork wherever they found potholes or damaged sections.
