Prayagraj: The second phase of the special communicable disease control and dastak campaign was launched on Wednesday at the Chief Medical Officer’s office. The Communicable Disease Campaign is scheduled to run from July 1 to July 31, while the Dastak Campaign will be conducted from July 11 to July 31, 2026.CMO Dr Arun Kumar Tiwari discussed the health department’s pivotal role and highlighted the ‘Stop Diarrhea Campaign’ under the Dastak initiative, focusing on ASHA and Anganwadi workers visiting households to distribute Zinc, ORS, and chlorine tablets to families affected by diarrhea. Additionally, Nodal Officer (Communicable Disease Program), Dr KK Mishra, emphasized the need for all departments to coordinate efforts to control communicable diseases in the district’s highly vulnerable rural and urban areas.
