On March 23, Bihar’s Chief Minister Nitish Kumar sets off on the fifth leg of his ‘Samriddhi Yatra’ from Jehanabad. Over the course of four days, he’ll traverse eight districts, culminating in Patna. This journey involves a deep dive into development projects, launching new initiatives, and hosting ‘Jan Samvad’ sessions with citizens.

Patna: CM Nitish Kumar is scheduled to begin the fifth phase of his ‘Samriddhi Yatra’ on March 23 from Jehanabad district, an official said here on Friday.The fifth phase follows the completion of the fourth leg, which concluded on March 20 after covering Gaya and Aurangabad districts.According to an itinerary released by the state’s cabinet secretariat department, the fifth phase will span four days and cover eight districts. As per the schedule, the chief minister will visit Jehanabad and Arwal on March 23, Kaimur and Rohtas on March 24, Buxar and Bhojpur on March 25, and Nalanda and Patna on March 26. The fifth phase of the yatra will conclude in Patna district.During the ‘Samriddhi Yatra’, the CM reviews ongoing development projects, inaugurates new schemes and interacts with the public. He also addresses public meetings under the ‘Jan Samvad’ programme in each district and holds district-level review meetings with senior officials.The yatra aims to assess the implementation of govt policies and development schemes at the grassroots level.In a letter issued on Friday to all department heads, the director general of police, divisional commissioners, district magistrates, senior superintendents of police and superintendents of police, additional chief secretary of the cabinet secretariat department Arvind Kumar Choudhary said the chief minister would review ongoing govt projects and schemes during the fifth leg of the yatra starting Monday.The ‘Samriddhi Yatra’ was launched on Jan 16 this year from Bettiah in West Champaran district.During the first phase of the yatra from Jan 16 to 24, Nitish visited West Champaran, East Champaran, Sitamarhi, Sheohar, Gopalganj, Saran, Siwan, Muzaffarpur and Vaishali districts.
