Varanasi: Chief minister Yogi Adityanath on Monday inaugurated the newly constructed milk chilling centre in Azamgarh district under the expansion of Shri Baba Gorakhnath Kripa Dugdh Utpadak Sanstha Gorakhpur. The CM inspected the production centre and took information about it.The milk chilling centre has been established in Miriya Rehda village of Sagdi tehsil area. Deputy dairy development officer Atul Kumar Singh said this centre has a capacity of 40,000 litres per day and 165 villages are connected to it. Also, 3,833 women milk producer members are associated with it.Currently, approximately 25,000 litres of milk is being collected at the village level by the women milk producers and delivered to the centre. At the village level, 10 workers are carrying out milk procurement work at the centre. A total of 18 milk collection routes have been created for the operation of this milk chilling centre. This will benefit milk producers in rural areas and promote milk production.After the CM’s helicopter landed at the helipad, BJP district president Dhruv Singh and Vinod Rajbhar, along with other public representatives, welcomed him.
