CM Samrat Choudhary at a function in Patna on Friday

Patna: Countering opposition criticism over recent criminal incidents, CM Samrat Choudhary on Friday asserted that the state is under a “govt of good governance” committed to swift justice and public convenience.Speaking at the inauguration of the “Seva Asmaran” programme at Urja Auditorium in Patna, Choudhary said the administration responds promptly to law and order incidents. “If any incident occurs, action is taken within 24 hours,” he said.Organised by the art and culture department under the ‘Seva Sankalp Abhiyan’, the event also highlighted India’s development over the past 25 years. Choudhary credited Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s leadership and welfare initiatives, including nearly 5 crore pucca houses, gas connections under the Ujjwala Yojana, sanitation drives and free medical treatment through Ayushman cards.Choudhary said Bihar’s road network had expanded from 8,000km to about 1.5 lakh km with major expressway projects underway. He also cited free foodgrains for about 10 crore people across Bihar and said the state govt remained focused on growth while maintaining a zero-tolerance stance against crime.Agriculture minister Vijay Kumar Sinha, cooperative minister Ram Kripal Yadav, art and culture minister Pramod Kumar, road construction minister Kumar Shailendra, MLAs Sanjeev Chaurasia and Sanjay Gupta, Patna mayor Sita Sahu and other public representatives attended.
