Ramgarh: Chief minister Hemant Soren on Monday made a short visit to his ancestral village Nemra under Gola block of Ramgarh district and marked his presence as a resident to select Pahan, the Santhal priest of his village, as per the local tradition.
Briefly talking to media in Nemra, Hemant said he wanted to be part of the age-old village tradition for selection of Pahan in Nemra. Deputy commissioner Faiz Aq Ahmad Mumtaz said, “The CM landed here via helicopter and then travelled by road to his village.”
