Kanpur: Students from various upper primary schools in the Jhinjhak development block of Kanpur Dehat district on Monday visited Chandra Shekhar Azad University of Agriculture and Technology, Kanpur, under the National Innovation Campaign scheme’s educational tour programme. The students gained knowledge of scientific facts by touring several departments, including the meteorological observatory, student training field, and the classrooms and laboratories of the entomology and plant pathology departments.Under the tour programme, children were taken to various faculties of the university and sites of archaeological and scientific importance. As per State Project Office directives, each student was provided with materials including biscuits, water bottle. Block education officer Shailesh Dwivedi flagged off the bus. Guest faculty of the agricultural university Rajiv Kumar Singh and Vineet Dheer provided new information to children by touring various departments. During the tour, teachers from various schools including Atma Prakash Mishra, Pradeep Katiyar, Manjeet Singh Gautam, Anees Fatima, Alam Prakash, Manjesh Kumar, Alok Kumar Gupta, Lokendra Kumar, Yogendra Kumar, Shivani Vyas, office accountant Roshni Pal, along with various teachers provided information to children about the relevant sites. Their importance was explained from an agricultural scientific perspective.ARP Arvind Kumar Singh Chauhan said that educational tour programs awaken a consciousness in children through which they can personally understand India’s diversities like history, science, etiquette and nature. ARP Arvind Kumar Singh Chauhan completed the educational tour as per departmental instructions while providing guidance to the entire team for organizing the educational tour programme.
