Noida: Chief minister Yogi Adityanath will inaugurate the Noida Authority’s new administrative building in Sector 96 on June 27. The Rs 390-crore project, which began in 2016 but was delayed by the Covid lockdown and the blacklisting of the original contractor, brings all departments under one roof. The complex’s proximity to the Noida Expressway also provides good connectivity.Officials said the new office will bring all departments under one roof, making it easier for residents to access various services. The project was initially planned as two towers of 18 and nine floors. The design was later revised, and the complex now comprises two towers of four and eight floors spread across a six-acre plot. The revised project brought the total cost down to Rs 930 crore from the original estimate of Rs 478 crore.Currently, the Authority’s departments operate out of multiple locations, including the main administrative office in Sector 6, the horticulture department in Sector 39, and other offices in sectors 19 and 20. The Sector 6 office has limited space and lacks dedicated parking facilities. As a result, visitors often park vehicles along the roadside, leading to traffic congestion in the area.During the visit, the chief minister may also participate in programmes in the Yamuna Expressway region. The Yamuna Expressway Industrial Development Authority has allotted to 136 companies over the past few months, and foundation stones for several industrial units are expected to be laid during the event.
