The set photos appear to confirm her return to the role since Netflix’s Marvel shows concluded. It remains to be seen if she will play the villain in this new season or if she will rekindle her doomed romance with Daredevil. The new season is also expected to feature the return of Wilson Bethel as the deadly assassin Bullseye.
Elektra resurrected again
However, the question remains about how Elektra will re-enter the story, considering that her character seemingly met her end in ‘The Defenders’. Her return comes at a time when the villainous organisation The Hand has been making waves for featuring in an epic showdown with Tom Holland’s Spider-Man in ‘Spider-Man: Brand New Day’. Her return raises questions about whether she may also make her MCU debut in the upcoming Spidey film.As the fate of the Hand will be addressed only in July when the film releases, it remains unknown whether the organisation will factor into future episodes of ‘Daredevil: Born Again’.Elodie’s Elektra has been resurrected from the dead three times already. Besides her, another version of the character, played by Jennifer Garner, was also resurrected in ‘Deadpool and Wolverine’. Garner previously portrayed the character opposite Ben Affleck in 2003’s Daredevil and later headlined the standalone ‘Elektra’.
