Varanasi: With the commencement of the auspicious Shrawan month, chief minister Yogi Adityanath performed rituals at the sanctum sanctorum of Kashi Vishwanath Temple on Thursday morning. He also offered prayers at Kaal Bhairav Temple before leaving for Ghazipur. It was a rare occasion when Yogi visited both temples on two consecutive days.The CM performed ‘Jalabhishek’ amid the chanting of Vedic mantras by senior priests and prayed for the happiness, peace, prosperity and public welfare of the people of the state and the country.Devotees and kanwariyas present in the temple premises welcomed him with chants of “Har Har Mahadev”. Yogi greeted them with folded hands. He also reviewed the arrangements made for devotees and Kanwar Yatris during the Shrawan month and expressed satisfaction with the preparations.The CM directed officials to ensure that arrangements for security, convenience, cleanliness, traffic and smooth darshan remain effective and uninterrupted throughout the month. He also said the arrangements should be continuously monitored so that no devotee faces any inconvenience.
