Shimla: Himachal Pradesh chief minister Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu has directed officials concerned to ensure that no eligible individual was deprived of social security pension benefits.Chairing a review meeting of the social justice and empowerment department on Wednesday, the CM instructed that pensions must not be discontinued for any rightful beneficiary and all pending formalities should be completed promptly.Sukhu emphasised that the govt was committed to safeguarding the rights of the deserving, noting that e-KYC verification for 7,60,772 beneficiaries was already completed and full coverage must be achieved without exception.Reviewing the ‘Mukhya Mantri Sukh Aashray Yojna’, Sukhu said 4,131 children were currently benefiting from the initiative, with Rs 30.69 crore allocated for its implementation.He directed the authorities to organise regular exposure and recreational visits for these children and sought reports from districts that were yet to conduct such tours.Under the Indira Gandhi Sukh Shiksha Yojna, 21,588 beneficiaries are receiving financial and educational support, backed by Rs 31.01 crore, he said, while assuring adequate funding for all welfare schemes in the future.MSID:: 128786393 413 |
