Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister Omar Abdullah and Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha on Sunday extended warm greetings to the people on the auspicious occasion of Guru Ravidas Jayanti, recalling the saint’s timeless teachings of equality, social justice, compassion and universal brotherhood.
In his message, the Chief Minister highlighted that Guru Ravidas Ji’s life and philosophy continue to inspire generations with the values of peace, harmony and human dignity. He wished peace, happiness and prosperity to all, urging people to imbibe Guru Ravidas Ji’s message of social equality and compassion in their daily lives.
Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha, in his greetings, said that Guru Ravidas Ji exemplified compassion, unity, equality and respect for human dignity. He noted that the revered saint devoted his life to the service of humanity and social transformation. The LG called upon people to recommit themselves to Guru Ravidas Ji’s enduring teachings and work collectively towards building a more caring and inclusive society.
Both the Chief Minister and the Lieutenant Governor emphasised that Guru Ravidas Ji’s ideals remain deeply relevant in today’s times and serve as a guiding light for fostering social harmony and mutual respect.
