CM Sawant on Friday told his ministers to show govt’s achievements to the public, retain their confidence and return to office with a strong mandate

Panaji: Chief minister Pramod Sawant and BJP members on Friday reviewed the performance of ministers ahead of assembly elections scheduled to be held in Feb. Ministers also submitted their strategies on how to win the next elections.The ministers in the Sawant-led coalition govt on Friday delivered a detailed presentation outlining their departments’ vision for the next six months.The meeting was also attended by Union MoS Shripad Naik, Rajya Sabha MP Sadanand Shet Tanavade and BJP state president Damodar ‘Damu’ Naik.Sawant said that he had called the meeting of ministers. “In the next six months we are facing elections, and it was necessary to review the performance of the ministers,” he said.The chief minister said that pending projects were discussed, and they will be put on fast track so that the projects are completed by March 2027. “All the promises will be fulfilled before the assembly elections,” he said.Sawant said that the ministers and the party discussed the future plans. He also said that he guided the minister on how the departments can get central funds to complete the project.The ministers spoke on their departments’ key milestones, achievements, initiatives and works completed over the past four and a half years.Sawant has directed his ministers to give a detailed 20-minute presentation to show govt’s achievements to the public, retain their confidence and return to office with a strong mandate.The CM said that every portfolio represents our collective responsibility to the people of Goa and our electorate.The ministers outlined an action-oriented plan leading up to the elections. The ministers proposed strategies within their portfolios to effectively connect with voters and secure victory.
