Patna: Officials must pass an order on a file within 30 days or be ready for automatic suspension on the 31st day as laxity or negligence will not be tolerated at any cost, CM Samrat Choudhary warned at the launch of the Sahyog portal and helpline number 1100 on Monday. The portal and helpline were launched with the specific aim of ensuring the prompt resolution of grievances raised by the general public. “Any resident of Bihar can easily register their complaint on this portal. The portal has been designed with simplicity in mind, ensuring that even the common person can utilise it without difficulty. Upon registering a complaint, individuals will receive a unique registration ID, enabling them to track the real-time status of their grievance,” the CM said.He said the state govt will monitor the CCTV cameras to be installed in police stations, blocks and circle offices.“If an order regarding a file is not issued within the 30-day period, the official concerned will face suspension the very next day,” he said at the event attended by Deputy CM Bijendra Prasad Yadav and ministers Nitish Mishra and Shrawan Kumar. The CM said under the state govt’s ‘Respect for All, Ease of Living’ campaign, officials will organise two-day camps at the panchayat-level on the first and third Tuesdays of every month. The district magistrates (DMs) and SPs will monitor implementation in their respective districts. “Everything will be closely monitored further from Patna. Land-related disputes frequently arise, often resulting in delays in resolving such cases. For years, many citizens have been forced to make endless rounds of govt offices,” Samrat said.He directed the officials to expedite the process and resolve people’s grievances, emphasising that 60% of all murder cases in the state are linked to land disputes. He further instructed the DMs and SPs to ensure that the general public faces no inconvenience.
