Ahmedabad: A team from Civil Hospital carried out a polypectomy on an 8-year-old boy after he suffered bleeding from the rectum for the past three months. The doctors removed the polyp from the large intestine using endoscopy. Experts said that a polyp can develop in one among every 100-200 children, and a colonic polyp can be detected or ascertained by repeated bleeding from the rectum among children.
