Mandya: Civic workers returned a gold ring worth Rs 1.3 lakh to its owner after finding it while on cleaning duty.The incident involved R Mahesh Krishna, an advocate and former CMC member. Around 7am, while taking a morning walk near Balamuri temple in Kuvempu Nagar, an 8.5g gold ring accidentally slipped off his finger. He only realised it was missing after returning home, and despite a thorough search, the jewellery was nowhere to be found.Later, while inquiring at a nearby shop, Mahesh Krishna learned that the civic workers discovered the ring during their morning shift. He immediately visited the local municipal office at around 11am, where civic workers Mahesh and Subbalakshmamma confirmed finding the ring and promptly returned it to him. The workers’ honesty and dedication earned them widespread admiration from the community, highlighting the integrity and commitment of civic staff in Mandya.
