Bokaro: CID has taken food inspector Sanjay Kumar into custody in connection with alleged irregularities in the Jharkhand Staff Selection Commission Combined Graduate Level (JSSC-CGL) examination.A CID team raided Kumar’s house at Pihra in Giridih district late on Tuesday night and brought him to Ranchi for questioning, sources said.The operation was conducted with the help of local police. Officials said the CID team was led by DSP Arvind Singh, while Khori Mahua SDPO Amarendra Kumar and personnel from Gawan police station were present during the action.Kumar is said to be a 2025-batch food inspector. Sources said he is posted with the Ranchi Municipal Corporation.Investigators are questioning Kumar to ascertain his alleged role in examination irregularities and verify material gathered during the probe. CID is also looking into whether he was linked to others suspected to have been involved in the alleged paper leak or malpractice connected with the JSSC-CGL examination process.Officials said further action would depend on the outcome of interrogation and corroboration of evidence collected so far.
