Kanpur: Two people, including a 12-year-old child died while five others suffered serious injuries after a speeding car crashed into an auto-rickshaw on Thursday.The incident occurred around 11 am on the Derapur-Rura road near Chilauli village in Kanpur Dehat.Police said the auto-rickshaw was heading to Derapur when it was hit near Chilauli village by an oncoming car. The impact reportedly tore the auto apart and passengers were trapped inside.After being alerted, police reached the spot and, with help from local residents, rescued the injured and sent them to CHC by ambulance.The deceased were identified as Danish, 12, a Class IV student, and Ankit, 19.The injured were referred to district hospital after initial treatment at the CHC.Station house officer Sudhir Bhardwaj said both bodies were sent for post-mortem. A case will be registered once a formal complaint is received.
