Raipur: The Chhattisgarh school education department has extended the Diwali vacation for the 2026-27 academic session by one day, taking the holiday period from five days to six.
Under the revised order issued, govt-aided and unaided schools across the state, along with DEd, BEd and MEd colleges, will remain closed from Nov 6 to Nov 11.
The academic calendar issued earlier on Sept 21 had fixed the Diwali break from Nov 6 to Nov 10. The latest order partially modifies that schedule and extends the vacation till Nov 11.
The revised holiday calendar will apply across the state to institutions covered by the school education department’s order.
District education authorities have been asked to ensure compliance with the revised schedule.
