Chennai: A 58-year-old woman was killed after being hit by a Metropolitan Transport Corporation (MTC) bus in Otteri on Saturday. The deceased has been identified as Rani of VV Koil Street in Kosapet, Otteri. According to police sources, she was walking near the TB Hospital bus stop on Konnur High Road in Otteri when the accident occurred.
While she was trying to cross the road, the MTC bus hit her. She sustained severe injuries and died on the spot. Pulianthope traffic investigation wing police rushed to the scene, recovered the body and sent it to a govt hospital for postmortem. A case has been registered. TNN
