Chatra: A 32-year-old man was arrested on Saturday in Chatra district for allegedly molesting a 16-year-old girl on Friday, police said.After registration of the case under relevant sections of BNS and Section 8 of the Pocso Act on Friday, a special team was constituted on the directions of Chatra SP Animesh Naithany. The team conducted raids at various locations and arrested the accused within 12 hours, police said.Officer Chandan Kumar said that after completing the necessary legal formalities, the accused was produced before the court, which remanded him in judicial custody.Chatra police said that ensuring the security and empowerment of women is their responsibility and urged citizens to support efforts aimed at creating a safe and fear-free society.
