Hazaribag: Two bodies have been reportedly found in Hazaribag in the past 24 hours, police said.In the first incident, Vikas Kumar Singh, 30, storekeeper of the canteen operating from the Hazaribag College of Dental Sciences and Hospital in Demotand, was found dead inside his room early Sunday. A native of Bhaswara village in Rohtas district of Bihar, he was a resident of Demotand area.Quoting a family member of the deceased, Braj Kumar Singh, police said, “Vikas had allegedly told his family between 10pm and 11pm on Saturday that he would stay on the college campus for the night and return home the next day. On Sunday morning, the family received a call saying he had been found unconscious. When they arrived, they found the body without any clothes.”Referring to the statements made by the hospital staff, police added, “Vikas and the three men working in the hospital kitchen — Pawan Kumar of Giridih, besides Dashrath Yadav and Arjun of Bhelwara village under Muffasil police station limits of Hazaribag district — had dinner together and stayed in the same room on Saturday night. On Sunday morning, Vikas was found dead while Pawan and Arjun were missing.”Hazaribag College of Dental Sciences and Hospital secretary Praveen Srinivas said, “Vikas Kumar Singh was employed as a storekeeper at the canteen, which is managed by a private company for the past one year.”Sadar SDPO Rupak Kumar Singh said, “Dashrath Yadav has been detained for interrogation. The body has been sent for post-mortem examination. CCTV footage from the campus is being examined. We are investigating the case from all angles.”In the second incident, Naveen Verma, 40, an electrician of Dipugarha mohalla, who had been missing since July 15, was found dead in a roadside drain near Atal Chowk on Saturday evening. Officer in-charge of the Korra police station Nemdhari Rajak said, “The body has been sent for post-mortem. Investigation is under way.”
