Hyderabad: A chartered flight experienced a technical glitch shortly before takeoff at the Rajiv Gandhi International Airport (RGIA), remaining stranded on the taxiway for a few minutes. Another flight which was cleared for landing at the airport was then asked to do a go-around (circle the airport) until the chartered flight had cleared the taxiway. The chartered flight – a Beech King Air B200 with the tail number VT-REM – was scheduled to fly from RGIA to Raipur. However, it had to be towed back to the apron after encountering a glitch. Airport offiicals said an airside team responded promptly and safely towed the aircraft away ensuring minimal disruption to flight traffic. Operations remained normal with no further impact.
