CEC visit Mithila Haat: Chief election commissioner (CEC) Gyanesh Kumar on Sunday visited Mithila Haat at Araria Sangram in Jhanjharpur. District Magistrate Anand Sharma welcomed him with a ‘pag-dupatta’, Madhubani painting and a symbolic emblem. The programme began with a ceremonial lamp lighting, followed by Vande Mataram by students of Shivganga Balika High School. The DM briefed Kumar on the district’s geography, achievements and 2025 special intensive revision of electoral rolls. Kumar addressed the gathering and inspected an exhibition of Mithila art, crafts and EVMs.
