Kanpur: To ensure that no child misses out the routine immunization, zonal health committees will now conducted door-to-door awareness campaign for families that refuse vaccination or show hesitancy towards it.The decision was taken at a meeting chaired by chief development officer (CDO), Abhinav Jain on Tuesday. Jain instructed the officials to identify the families and inform them about the importance of the vaccination program of the health department.The CDO said that the multi-departmental Zonal Health Committee constituted for each zone would be led by the respective zonal officer.He directed all zonal officers to review vaccination progress on a weekly basis. During the review, steps must be taken to identify children who have been missed and ensure they are brought under the vaccination coverage.The routine immunization sessions held every Wednesday and Saturday will be subject to supportive supervision by zonal officials and members of the Zonal Health Committee. Assessments will also be conducted regarding the arrangements at the sessions, beneficiary attendance, and the quality of services.He directed all zonal health committees to conduct joint inspections in their respective areas and regularly monitor health and vaccination activities.
