Mysuru: A 10-member Bengaluru City police team Friday searched the residence-cum-office of activist Snehamayi Krishna at Gundurao Nagar, Mysuru. The operation, led by CCB inspector Umesh Kumar SN, the investigation officer in a case registered against Krishna in Bengaluru, lasted nearly 50 minutes. Two women head constables and two witnesses were part of the team, and the entire search was videographed.Krishna’s wife, GN Vinoda, who was present during the search, told reporters that CCB officials came with a search warrant to their single-floor home. She said the police took away documents, including a pen drive and a hard disk. Vinoda also claimed that Krishna was arrested when he went to Bengaluru to attend a case, but added that they were “not afraid of all this” and would continue their fight against injustice.

Krishna is the petitioner in the MUDA site-sharing scam, in which he accused CM Siddaramaiah and his family members, including his wife, of misuse of public office and corruption. Recently, a special court accepted the ‘B’ report filed by the Lokayukta police in the case.After the first search, the team visited Vinoda’s mother’s single-floor house in Bandipalya, near Gundurao Nagar, and searched it for about 30 minutes.Jurisdictional Mysuru district police were not part of the operation.
