Amritsar: Tension gripped Sialka village in Majitha constituency after unidentified assailants opened fire outside a house on Tuesday night.The incident, captured on CCTV and now circulating on social media, shows multiple gunshots being fired. Police sources said 9-10 rounds were fired, leaving bullet marks on the main gate of the house.Empty cartridges were also found from the spot. Though no injuries or casualties were reported, the incident left residents shaken. Family member Rashpal Singh told media they had no known enmity with anyone and demanded immediate action against those responsible.The firing has once again raised concerns over law and order in Punjab. Shiromani Akali Dal functionary Bikram Singh Majithia shared the CCTV footage on X and sought intervention from chief minister Bhagwant Mann. Police said investigations were underway and the accused would be identified and arrested soon.An FIR has been registered at Mattewal police station, but no arrests have been made so far, said Amritsar rural SSP Suhail Qasim Mir.
