Haveri: Valuable items worth about Rs 24 lakh were stolen from a moving truck on Thursday night, on the Bengaluru-Pune national highway between Haveri and Ranebennur. The looted goods included mobile phones and dry fruits belonging to a private online marketing company. The truck was owned by Mallikjaan Mulla, who was transporting the company’s goods from Bengaluru to Dharwad. Robbers broke the Linkit device installed on the truck to do away with the stolen goods. Many said there was very little improvement in supply after last week’s day-long closure. The main complaints pertain to low pressure and water supply for fewer hours.
