Bokaro: A fast-food outlet in Giridih district was sealed on Monday after three members of a family fell ill after consuming biryani.Acting on the directions of deputy commissioner (DC) Ramniwas Yadav, the food safety department conducted inspection of the outlet near Bhandaridih under the Muffasil police station limits and found various violations, especially a missing water quality test report.The department collected a sample of chicken biryani and sent it to the state food laboratory for testing. T’puram: A 35-year-old man, who suffered critical burns after a fellow drinker allegedly set a group on fire inside a bar at Vembayam on Sunday night, died on Monday, prompting police to alter the case from attempted murder to murder.The deceased has been identified as Navas of Cheeranikara, Vembayam. He had sustained more than 80% burns and was undergoing treatment at the Govt Medical College Hospital, Thiruvananthapuram.
