Nagpur: Maharashtra State Common Entrance Test (CET) Cell has extended the deadline for online registration for the Centralised Admission Process (CAP) for first-year engineering (BE/BTech) and MBA/MMS courses for 2026-27 academic session till July 16, providing another opportunity to thousands of eligible candidates who are yet to complete the admission process.Many eligible candidates under Nagpur University seeking PG admissions through CET are yet to get their final year marksheets. The move is likely to offer another chance to such candidates.The registration window, which was scheduled to close on July 12, has been extended by four days. The CET Cell has appealed to all candidates who appeared for the MAH CET conducted in April and May this year to complete their CAP registration within the revised deadline.According to the CET Cell, 2,76,794 students have registered for the two professional courses so far. Engineering admissions account for the bulk of registrations with 2,28,536 candidates completing the process, while 48,258 candidates have registered for MBA/MMS admissions.Candidates seeking admission must complete online registration, upload the required documents and opt for either E-Scrutiny or Physical Scrutiny for document verification. Students choosing E-Scrutiny can have their applications verified online without visiting a facilitation centre, whereas those opting for Physical Scrutiny must report to the nearest Scrutiny Centre (SC) or Facilitation Centre (FC) for verification.The CET Cell clarified that candidates who had registered for and appeared in the MAH CET 2026 examination for these courses are not required to pay any CAP registration fee. However, candidates belonging to the NRI, OCI, PIO, Foreign National categories and children of Indian workers in Gulf countries will have to pay the prescribed admission registration fee, which is non-refundable.The provisional merit list will be published on July 19, following which candidates can submit grievances between July 20 and July 22. The final merit list will be displayed on July 24..
