Gurgaon: A 22-year-old woman died after a canter truck allegedly hit her scooter from behind near Elan Mall Chowk in Sector 84 on Tuesday.Reena had been working at Haldiram’s at Elan Miracle Mall for the past two years. She lived in Kherki Daula. She was returning home with a friend when the accident happened. An Eicher canter truck, without a number plate, allegedly rammed the two-wheeler from behind, causing it to fall. Passers-by rushed the injured women to the govt hospital, where doctors declared Reena dead.In a complaint, Reena’s brother, Sagar, alleged the canter driver was driving recklessly and at high speed. After the collision, Reena suffered fatal head injuries. “When I received the information about my sister’s accident, I reached the hospital, but my sister was lying dead on a stretcher there,” Sagar said. Police said they received information about the accident from an emergency response vehicle and reached the govt hospital.Based on the complaint, police registered an FIR under sections 281 (rash driving) and 106 of BNS at Sector 93 police station against the unidentified driver.
