Patna: Canara Bank organised a series of programmes under its Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiative at Ashray Vriddhashram near Beur Jail on Thursday. The programme was led by the bank’s executive director, Bhavendra Kumar.As part of the initiative, 35 elderly residents of the old-age home underwent eye examinations conducted by ASG Eye Hospital. Spectacles were distributed to those requiring vision correction.The bank also provided the institution with a refrigerator, RO water purifier, water cooler, inverter and battery. Clothes were distributed among all residents of the old-age home.Canara Bank Patna Circle general manager Ajay Kumar, deputy general manager Abhay Kumar Bharti, Vikas Bharti and other bank officials were present. Ashray Vriddhashram director Rakesh Kumar Gandhi also attended the programme.
