Cooch Behar: BJP tried to play down the absence of Suvendu Adhikari on the stage while PM Narendra Modi spoke at Raashmela Maidan in Cooch Behar on Sunday. Bengal BJP brass, including Union minister Sukanta Majumdar and state president Samik Bhattacharya, however, were present. Bhattacharya told TOI: “Suvendu Adhikari was busy with his election campaign. With a little more than two weeks to go for the election, he was too busy to come to north Bengal to attend the rally.”
