Hazaribag: Concern is mounting in Chatra town after a series of recent theft and snatching incidents, with burglars striking a grocery shop near Dibha School in Churihar locality on Friday night.The shop, owned by Manorama Devi, wife of late Pappu Keshri, was found ransacked on Saturday morning, with around Rs 30,000 missing from the cash drawer. Family members said the burglars broke through a wall near a third-floor gate, lifted an asbestos sheet and entered the premises before fleeing with the cash.The theft came to light when the family found shop items scattered and noticed breach marks on the rooftop wall. After being informed, police reached the spot, inspected the premises and began investigating. Sadar police station officer-in charge Anil Oraon said a continuous drive was underway against thieves and snatchers and expressed confidence that the case would be solved soon.
