Patna: The Bihar School Examination Board (BSEB) is expected to announce the Class X and Class XII board results soon, and the toppers will receive prize money and rewards on Dec 3 on the occasion of Medha Diwas. Students securing the first rank will receive Rs 2 lakh, the second rank will receive Rs 1.5 lakh and the third rank will receive Rs 1 lakh.This annual celebration of academic excellence continues to expand its reach, ensuring that the brightest minds from across the state are recognised for their hard work. For Class XII, the financial rewards are designated for students in the top five ranks across all three academic streams; those securing the fourth and fifth ranks will be awarded Rs 30,000.The recognition for Class X students extends even further, with those placing from the fourth to the tenth rank receiving Rs 20,000 each. In addition to these cash incentives, every rankholder will be honoured with a medal, a certificate of merit and a laptop to assist in their future academic endeavours.BSEB PRO Rajeev Dwivedi said, “These incentives are given to students so that they continue pursuing education with the same dedication and are inspired to do better.”Beyond the immediate celebrations on Medha Diwas, the board ensures long-term support through structured scholarship programmes. For Class X rankholders, the state provides a monthly stipend of Rs 2,000 until they complete their Class 12 education. For the high achievers of Class 12, Rs 2,500 per month is given, covering the entire duration of their graduation to ease the financial transition into higher education.In 2025, a total of 151 students were granted cash prizes and scholarships. This cohort included 123 Class X rankholders and 28 students from Class XII.
