VARANASI: Panic gripped Varanasi district court campus when a threat to blow up the court with a bomb was received on the District Judge’s email. As soon as this information was received, Bar officials held a meeting. Meanwhile, an atmosphere of commotion prevailed in the court premises. The threatening message came via email at 1.30am on Thursday night. After the threat was received on the District Judge’s email, court security was increased.DCP Varuna zone, Pramod Kumar, and Cantt Inspector Shivakant Mishra began a search operation in the court premises with force and the bomb disposal squad. Meanwhile, advocates also started checking chambers and suspicious items at their level. The Cyber Cell is investigating the email.
