Bokaro: Eight days after a 42-year-old woman of Bhatta Tola in Tetulia had gone missing on September 4, her decomposed body was recovered from Baliyadih forest in Mohandih under the Pindrajora police station limits on Sunday. A person has been arrested on charges of strangulating her to death and burying her, police said.The deceased was identified as Keshwati Devi, police added.DSP (City) Rajeev Ranjan said, “Keshwati had left home for work on September 4, but did not return. Her son Dhulu (25) lodged a missing person complaint at Sector 12 police station and named Mustaqim (50) as an accused. Mustaqim was detained for questioning.”“During interrogation, accused Mustaqim allegedly told police that he took Keshwati to the forest on September 7, strangulated her to death, and buried her body to hide the evidence. Based on his information, the body was recovered from the spot in the presence of a magistrate,” he added.The body has been sent for post-mortem examination. The motive is under investigation, police added.
