Kanpur: In view of the rising water level of the Ganga during the monsoon season, the administration has suspended boating at the Boat Club for three months, until Oct 15, 2026.According to reports, following the release of water from Narora Dam, the irrigation department opened all the gates of the barrage, resulting in a rise in the water level.The water level at the barrage has reached 112.53 metres, while at Shuklaganj it stands at 110.35 metres.Pankaj Gautam, executive engineer of the irrigation department, said boatmen at the ghats have been cautioned against operating boats for the next three months.
