Prayagraj: On the 76th birthday of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, a voluntary blood donation camp was organised at the Govt Blood Centre, Tej Bahadur Sapru Hospital, under the ‘Seva Sankalp Abhiyan’ here on Thursday.District magistrate (Prayagraj) Manish Kumar Verma also took part in the camp and donated blood. As many as 25 people, including hospital doctors, paramedical staff, and employees along with others, donated blood at the camp and sought to embody the spirit of ‘Blood Donation: A Great Gift, A Gift of Life.’Officials claimed that Pankaj Kumar made his ninth voluntary blood donation, while Pallavi Pandey—a paramedical student—made her fourth.Meanwhile, a special Ganga Aarti was organised at Dashashwamedh Ghat to mark the birthday of PM Modi.Former deputy mayor of Prayagraj and regional coordinator of the Ganga Vichar Manch, Anamika Chaudhary, performed the aarti and prayed for Prime Minister’s long life.Speaking on the occasion, Anamika remarked that Sept 17 is a special day to honour the spirit of service, dedication, and nation-building. The entire nation is celebrating Prime Minister’s birthday today as ‘Seva Diwas’.She said, “The 25 years of Prime Minister’s public life represent not merely a political journey, but a dedicated endeavor spanning two and a half decades—a journey defined by service, good governance, the welfare of the poor, and a steadfast resolve for nation-building. This journey has been driven by the commitment to bring about positive change in the lives of the people and to transform India into a strong, self-reliant, and developed nation.”
