Sikar: State Congress chief Govind Singh Dotasra Monday accused the BJP of delaying municipal elections under the pretext of delimitation. He made these remarks while addressing the party’s “Save the Constitution” public meeting in Neem Ka Thana. Dotasra said Congress will strongly contest the municipal elections and the results will lead to BJP’s downfall in the state. Dotasra said the BJP govt will have to conduct municipal elections by Dec to Feb as the Congress had filed a petition in court and was raising public awareness on this matter. Dotasra criticised both the Union and state govts, claiming they had not accomplished anything significant. He cited vacant positions in schools and the dissolution of Neem Ka Thana district and municipal council as examples of the govt’s indifference. He said the return of the Congress govt will lead to re-establishment of Neem Ka Thana district and municipal council. tnn
