Thiruvananthapuram: A 50-year-old man who was riding a bike was seriously injured after getting entangled in an electric cable that was being removed by KSEB workers at Neyyattinkara on Friday.The injured is Rajendran, a native of Kanjiramkulam. The incident occurred around 12 noon near Boys Higher Secondary School junction when he was travelling along with his son Arun.

According to locals, KSEB workers were removing cable lines from posts in front of the school when a loosened cable reportedly got caught around Rajendran’s neck, causing him to lose control of the bike and fall on the road. Rajendran sustained a head injury and lost consciousness. He was rushed to Neyyattinkara taluk hospital in an ambulance with the help of locals. His son Arun, who was riding pillion, suffered minor injuries.
