Noida: A 19-year-old man died after his bike rammed into a road divider near Sector 96 underpass early on Friday, police said. His friend, riding pillion, escaped with serious injury.The victim, Saif Ali Khan, and his friend Ramzan were headed to Sector 125 from Sector 45 around 12.30 am when the bike allegedly went out of control and hit the divider. Police said Saif was critically injured and died before he could be taken to a hospital.A resident of Khoda colony, Saif worked at a tea cafe in Sector 62. Ramzan, who survived the crash, works at a chartered accountancy firm near Sector 62.Police said they were reviewing CCTV footage from around the underpass to establish the sequence of events and determine speeding. While the body was sent for autopsy, no complaint was submitted in the case.Till July 15 this year, Noida reported 577 road accidents in which 250 people died while 450 were injured. The accident count is lower than the corresponding periods of the previous four years — 623 in 2022, 629 in 2023, 670 in 2024 and 633 in 2025.Between Aug 4 and 5 midnight, four separate accidents had claimed six lives across the district. The victims — two teenagers, a married couple, a motorcyclist and a truck driver — died in unrelated crashes spanning Beta-2, Dankaur, Bilaspur and Badalpur within 24 hours.
