Bihar CM Choudhary said a “Teacher Training University” would be established for better training and capacity development of teachers

Bihar Chief Minister Samrat Choudhary, in a Teachers’ Day message posted on X, announced a set of education-sector resolutions by the state government, including a new teacher training university and a separate pay scale for honorarium-based teachers.

Choudhary said a “Teacher Training University” would be established for better training and capacity development of teachers, and that a separate pay scale arrangement would be ensured for honorarium-based teachers.

He also said the state would develop a “modern AI ecosystem” in collaboration with Microsoft, Google, and Sarvam AI, under which teachers would be trained on the latest technologies in artificial intelligence.

On higher education, Choudhary said efforts would be made to establish a center of Banaras Hindu University (BHU) in Bihar to expand access for the state’s students.

He added that payment of pending salaries for teachers of the Madrasa and Sanskrit boards had been initiated, so that teachers can receive their remuneration on time.
